got craft?

traditional crafts with a twist.

got craft? is a fun and unique event that brings a modern twist to the conventional craft fair. We were often disappointed with the standard fairs and decided to venture out and start our own! Completely self-funded, got craft? was started to fill the void of modern and eclectic summer fairs in the City of Vancouver. What a better way to showcase local designers, enjoy some tasty eats, support the community and of course, buy some handmade goods!

Saturday and Sunday, May 12th & 13th , 2007
10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Western Front
303 E. 8 th Avenue (at Scotia Street)

Admission is $1.00 (kids 10 and under are free!)

First 25 guests through the door on Saturday, will receive a free swag bag filled with goodies!

Admission proceeds go towards the not for profit organization that hosts our venue space.

and another thing...

The Petri Dish invites you to celebrate our first birthday by attending the most unusual tea party you could ever imagine.

Vancouver, BC (October 24, 2006) – The Petri Dish, known for its locally made, cute and quirky items, is happy to announce its one year anniversary, which we will be celebrating with a tea party like no other!

At the party tea will be served in two forms. The first, as you come in and make yourself at home will be delicious and organic, while the second will be art in a form that you have never seen before. Painted teabags will be on display and for sale.

These precious art gems are hand painted and pencilled by Suzanne Summersgill, an artist who has been involved with the Petri Dish from day one. Suzanne, a member of Pinn Studio, has a wee workspace in the heart of East Vancouver and she (quite literally) appreciates the small things in life. The Petri Dish is delighted to have Suzanne's painted teabags wrap up our first year and kick off our second because we feel that they are the perfect representation of the idiosyncratic items that we sell. The teabags make lovely and original Christmas gifts for your friends and co-workers.

Please join us on November 18, 2006 at the Petri Dish, located at 2406 Main Street @ 8th Ave. Tea will be served from 7-11pm. To show our appreciation for the support we have received from our customers over the past year the Petri Dish will also have many items on sale that evening. We hope to see you there!
